Hello. I am new to your site. I am finally opening up “new to me” Janome New Home 532. My Brother XL-3022 from 1996 has a hand wheel that is locking up. I’ve gotten 30 good years out of it — 10 years of a wedding & formal attire sewing business, handbags & tote bags for craft shows, clothes for self while teaching. I am almost ready to plug it in to see if it works. The handbook you posted is so helpful! THANK YOU SO MUCH. I learned on a Singer from ~1959, then sewed a ton on my Kenmore from 1977. I left it to do “fancy” embroidery stitches on my new Brother. A. Johnson in NC got the frozen motor on the Kenmore going again after I had left it in the garage (bad me), but then it quit. RIP. Is there interest in my Kenmore Manual? I still have it – it has useful sewing info. The Janome NH 532 looks like a mix between the Singer I learned on and my good ole’ Kenmore. Thank you, again. I really appreciate your help. I inherited my grandmother’s sewing machine. I would like to make some rag quilts for my granddaughters but had no instructions on how to use her machine.
I can’t believe I still have the manual with the machine from my grandma, but what I can’t seem to find out is what is the threshold for needle size and thread size. I am a leather worker and want to see if I can use this machine. (only hand stitched before) so all of this is new to me. Wanting to use an 18-22 leather needle (diamond point) with a 92 or 138 bonded nylon thread. Does anyone know if this machine can handle that?
My son got a New Home Model 532 when cleaning out a house and gave it to me. Thank you for providing a manual. I was able to download and print. Much appreciated!
Thank you very much for my being able to print out the copy of the New Home 532 sewing machine manual, it has been a great help
Sure thing – happy sewing!
